2025 Commercial Vehicle Show NEC Birmingham

The Commercial Vehicle Show is the UK’s largest automotive trade event, one which we at Outbound Automotive attend each year. 2025 saw the show celebrate the 25th anniversary of the event, with new organiser’s Nineteen Group at the helm alongside long time show partners the Road Haulage Association (RHA) and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)

There are many exhibitors at the CV Show, with manufacturers and suppliers – including some from overseas – showcasing and promoting their new products, components and services with cutting edge technology, software, hardware, equipment and much more, all on show under one roof with the added benefit of having many industry experts on hand ready to answer any questions to visitors, all with first class knowledge and advice.

Many manufacturers utilise the CV Show to launch new products into the market, and 2025 was no different. There were plenty of new trucks and LCVs being introduced to the industry at the NEC, with the majority, of course, being electric as the world of transport continues the journey to net-zero. A new radio station truckradio.co.uk which is dedicated to the industry and driven by the RHA, was also launched at the show  broadcasting live, interviewing exhibitors as well as industry leaders.

The show offers a full programme of free-to-attend seminars over all three days, with many very interesting and informative topics being addressed, including ‘Achieving Profitability and Sustainability: Accelerating Your Net Zero Journey’ ‘Expanding Europe’s largest public truck charging network to the UK’ and ‘Cybersecurity: Protecting Your Fleet from Emerging Threats’ – all delivered from industry leading keynote speakers.

Outbound Automotive Director, Nick Murton: “The 2025 CV Show was a very special event, it being the 25th anniversary this year. For a business such as ours, it is a must-attend event as it provides the perfect opportunity to network, catch up with existing clients, and get to meet so many great people within the industry as well as keep up to date with the many new and innovative ideas, products, and services now available. It is clear how fast technology in our industry has evolved since we were last here, only twelve months ago”

“As members of the RHA, the CV show also provides us with an opportunity to meet up in person with the wonderful RHA team, as due to distance most communication is via email, zoom or telephone”

The road transport and logistics sectors are changing: And at some considerable pace. It will be very interesting to see the progress made by the time the 2026 CV Show arrives.
